Million Air - Provo Announces Completion of New Aircraft Hangar
Provo, Utah, October 22, 2008

Million Air-Provo is pleased to announce the completion of a new aircraft hangar at their Provo Airport location. The new hangar will provide 15,000 square feet of additional storage space for general aviation aircraft and can accommodate aircraft up to the size of a Gulfstream G550.  

“We are extremely happy to be able to offer our customers this new state-of-the art facility,” said Larry Mendenhall, Manager, Million Air-Provo. “Providing ample hangar space year-around is just one more step in our continuing goal of superior customer service.”

As a subsidiary of Utah based Keystone Aviation, Million Air-Provo is a fixed-base operation serving the needs of general aviation customers at the Provo, Utah airport. In addition to hangar storage, the company provides aircraft management, air charter, and operates a Part 145 Class IV repair station capable of performing scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance on almost all general aviation aircraft. The new hangar provides additional office and aircraft storage space, bringing Million Air-SLC’s total hangar space to over 280,000 square feet.

BRIAN JONES JOINS MILLION AIR AIRCRAFT SALES TEAM

Prior to joining Million Air Salt Lake City, Mr. Jones owned and operated B.R. Jones and Associates, LLC managing aircraft sales.  With almost forty years of aircraft sales experience, Mr. Jones further solidifies Million Air Salt-Lake City’s position as the premier aircraft dealer in the Intermountain West.

Mr. Jones has held several positions in aviation, including marketing and sales with such companies as Learjet, Raytheon, and Piper. With over 12,000 flight hours logged, Mr. Jones holds an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with numerous type ratings along with being a Certified Flight Instructor. His varied experience in the aviation industry will play a key role in understanding the needs of both pilots and aircraft owners. Among his many accomplishments in the aviation industry, Mr. Jones was a personal pilot for Bob Hope.
 
Mr. Jones is married to Christy and has three children, Alicia, Robb, and Samantha.

Million Air-Salt Lake City continues to enhance its charter fleet with the addition of a Challenger 604 aircraft. The Challenger 604 will be available for charter in the Intermountain West and will bring Million Air-Salt Lake City’s fleet to a total of fourteen aircraft.  

The spacious Challenger 604 has become one of the world’s best-selling large corporate jets due to its versatility and supreme comfort. The cabin is one of the widest standing-room cabins of any corporate jet. The aircraft offers coast-to-coast nonstop and international capability with a range of 4,600 miles at a cruise speed of up to 533 mph. The Challenger 604 added to Million Air-Salt Lake City’s fleet is configured with business class seats for nine passengers, and contains spacious luggage and storage areas.

MILLION AIR - SALT LAKE CITY HOLDS GREEN GOLF OUTING

Million Air-Salt Lake City recently hosted its 8th annual customer appreciation golf outing at the Homestead Resort in Heber, Utah. The theme for the day was “Go for the Green,” with the purpose of conveying Million Air-Salt Lake City’s ongoing efforts to promote and raise environmental awareness in its organization. All proceeds were donated to TreeUtah, a non-profit charity dedicated to enhancing the environment. 

“In the past few years, there has been an increased interest in aviation’s impact on the environment,” said Bill Haberstock, CEO of Million Air-Salt Lake City. “We want to show that we are committed to not only reducing our impact on the environment, but we constantly seek ways to refine our efforts in this area.”

Signs were placed at each hole advising customers of specific steps Million Air-Salt Lake City has taken in its operation and facility, such as recycling efforts, monthly support of Rocky Mountain Power’s “Blue Sky” program, and updating high usage hangars with energy efficient light and heating. “We are already doing some very positive things in our organization,” continued Haberstock. “We are hopeful, that as an industry leader in this effort, communication of steps forward taken in our operation and facility will heighten awareness of environmental responsibility in other general aviation organizations, as well.”

MILLION AIR SALT LAKE CITY HOSTS STOP FOR GUMBALL 3000 RACE

Million Air Salt Lake City was excited to be a part of the annual Gumball 3000 race this month on its stop in Utah during the
eight-day, 3000-mile race. A modern day version of the infamous 1970s road trip movie, each year the route changes but the foundation of the rally stays the same: adventure with the most eccentric group of thrill-seekers imaginable, and an opportunity to show off almost $30 million dollars worth of machinery.

On the fifth day of the 2006 race, the Gumballers stopped in Salt Lake City for the evening. Million Air Salt Lake City handled three Anatov cargo liners and one Boeing 757. We took part in the display of the cars and what a sight it was!

Gumball 3000 offers a select few the opportunity to drive alongside billionaires, athletes, film stars and rock icons. Celebrity drivers, however, take a backseat to the cars which ranged from million-dollar luxury vehicles to VW campers and environmentally friendly vehicles. The car race included 240 drivers competing in 120 cars which sped across three continents with a goal of uniting nations through a common passion for music, fashion, film, and the motorcar.

From Million Air SLC, the adventurers headed downtown to the Delta Center for a show and then sped off to Las Vegas before ending at the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles.

MILLION AIR SALT LAKE CITY TO PARTICIPATE IN TRANSPORTATION OF SPECIAL OLYMPIC ATHLETES

Million Air Salt Lake City is pleased to be a part of the travel plans of athletes participating in the Special Olympics National Games next month. The games are being held in Ames, Iowa, on July 2 – 8, 2006.

Million Air Salt Lake City will donate the use of its facility and will host the departure and arrival of the athletes from the Intermountain region with aircraft, fuel, and crews provided by Citation. “We are grateful to have the opportunity to participate in such a positive, worthwhile event,” said Bill Haberstock, CEO and President of Million Air Salt Lake City.  “We want the athletes, coaches, and their families to have not only a safe and comfortable flight, but a first-class travel experience as well.”    

The airlift effort requires choreography from the FAA, local officials and volunteers from the general aviation community.  “The excitement and anticipation can be seen on the faces of the athletes,” continued Haberstock. “The chance to be part of something so positive and memorable is not one we are likely to forget.” 

MILLION AIR - SALT LAKE CITY ADDS HAWKER 800XP TO ITS CHARTER FLEET

Million Air Salt Lake City continues to increase its capacity in the charter and general aviation market by adding a Hawker 800XP to its fleet.  Million Air SLC was retained to acquire and manage the Hawker 800XP,  bringing their total number of aircraft available for charter to thirteen.  The new addition further diversifies Million Air’s current fleet which includes aircraft from Raytheon, Pilatus, Lear, Cessna, and Gulfstream.

The aircraft has the largest cabin in the midsize jet category.  “The size, comfort, and spacious cabin of this aircraft make it a very popular business jet. Being able to fly across the country without making a fuel stop is appealing to people,” said Bill Haberstock, President and CEO of Million Air Salt Lake City. “The Hawker 800XP offers our customers the feel and range capabilities of a much larger aircraft at a more economical cost.” 

MILLION AIR - SALT LAKE CITY ANNOUNCES GRAND OPENING OF NEWLY REMODELED FACILITY

Million Air Salt Lake City recently completed an 8,000 square foot addition to its Salt Lake City terminal. 

The new terminal boasts state-of-the-art amenities for customers and flight crews.  The theme throughout the terminal is reminiscent of the “glory days” of flying, when space and luxury were part of the travel experience, and not considered a premium.  Natural lighting and vaulted ceilings are part of the sleek new decor.

Customers will have a fully-equipped conference room available for their use, wireless internet access, and personalized concierge service. Pilots will be able to enjoy an expanded pilots’ lounge, private sleep rooms, and shower facilities. Additional office space for administrative personnel allows for a more smooth and efficient operation.

The expansion to the current facility was completed as a result of Million Air Salt Lake City’s vision for the future.  “This industry is growing rapidly, and we take pride in having always been rated the highest FBO in value and customer service in Salt Lake City,” said Bill Haberstock, President and CEO of Million Air Salt Lake City. “The new addition reflects our determination to offer the best facility and top-of-the-line amenities to our customers.” 

The expanded gift shop is located adjacent to the entrance of the new terminal and will offer a wide range of inventory for pilots and customers.  Michael Brown will manage the gift shop which will offer flight necessities, convenience items, and popular aviation-related products.  

A ribbon cutting ceremony is planned in the upcoming weeks to celebrate the grand opening.  “We are grateful to the community for its support during our expansion.  The people of Utah understand the importance of general aviation to our local economy and we want to represent that pride throughout our facility and operation,” said Haberstock.
